Macro Landscapes

During my exploration of macro landscapes I experimented with capturing scenes as I found them, using a mixture of available lighting and off camera flash. The scenes capture a few of the mini landscapes that merge together to create any given traditional landscape.

Macro Landscapes, the beginning.

After looking at an uncountable amount of macro photography images, I came across the work of Christopher Boffoli and Minimian. Seeing these little people placed in everyday situations got me thinking about different scenarios/scenes I could set up outside. The unpredictability of lighting and available scenery led me to creating these scenes inside, using a mixture of found and purchased items.

Looking at the works of Boffoli and Minimian led me to create a series based around miniature army men coming to life and going to war.
